Team Coaching
Transform Team Dynamics Into Strategic Advantage
Team coaching for leadership teams and their teams where strategic goals require authentic collaboration, not just coordination.
Why Team Coaching Matters
Teams reach peak performance when they communicate well, trust each other, and align around shared goals. But most teams operate below their potential—not because of lack of talent, but because of unspoken tensions, unclear roles, and competing priorities.
Teams are wise, resourceful entities—something more than the sum of their parts. Team coaching makes visible what's happening beneath the surface: the unspoken dynamics, conflicting assumptions, and invisible patterns that either fuel or drain collective performance.
Who this is for
This is for teams who:
Are newly formed and establishing how they'll work together under pressure
Face strategic decisions requiring cross-functional alignment (not just agreement)
See talent and good intentions, but watch collaboration break down in execution
Navigate complexity across different expertise areas, geographies, or reporting lines
Require improved communication, feedback, collaboration, and performance
Are reorganizing, scaling, or integrating teams after M&A or structural/membership/leadership change
Want to shift from managing conflict to leveraging different perspectives as strategic advantage
Whether you're a leadership team, cross-functional team, or any team navigating change, team coaching creates the conditions for breakthrough results.
What we work on
Communication & Trust:
Surface what isn't being said—the hesitations, competing loyalties, and unspoken concerns blocking honest dialogue
Build psychological safety where challenge and support coexist
Create conditions for trust to emerge through shared risk, not just shared success
Alignment & Shared Vision:
Clarify roles, goals, and decision rights—not just responsibilities, but authority to act
Map where individual and team objectives compete, then redesign priorities that serve both
Build shared understanding of what success looks like beyond KPIs—the culture and ways of working you're building together
From Conflict to Collaboration:
Work with conflict as information—what's the disagreement revealing about different priorities, risk tolerances, or unstated assumptions?
Transform unspoken tensions into productive debate where competing perspectives sharpen decisions
Develop capacity to navigate disagreement without damaged relationships or derailed timelines
Collective Performance:
Make visible the patterns running below the surface—who defers to whom, where energy drops, what's not being named
Help the team see its own system: how small interactions create larger patterns that either enable or constrain performance
Shift diversity from polite acknowledgment to genuine source of better decisions and creative problem-solving
Why work with me
I understand teams from both sides.
As a former CFO who led teams of several internal and external professionals across finance, investments, and reporting—while managing external advisors globally—I've built, restructured, and turned around teams under real business pressure. I know what high-performing teams look like and what gets in their way.
I also understand the strategic context your team operates in. This isn't abstract team-building—it's practical work grounded in your actual goals, constraints, and organizational realities.
I'm trained in ORSC (Organization & Relationship Systems Coaching), Gestalt Groupworks, and Team Coaching Studio Diploma methodologies. I bring 450+ hours of coaching training and years of C-suite experience to every engagement.
How Team Coaching Works
Team coaching is a collaborative process where the team itself is the client, not individual members.
For organization-wide 1:1 coaching or team coaching engagements, I can scale by bringing in professionals I've worked alongside and trust to deliver at the highest level.
Typical engagements include:
Initial diagnostic session (2-3 hours) to map team dynamics, strategic goals, and current challenges
6-8 working sessions (2-4 hours each) over 4-6 months, scheduled around your team's operating rhythm
Focus on real challenges the team faces now—not theoretical frameworks
In-session and between-session experiments to practice new ways of working
Progress check-ins and mid-point recalibration as the team's needs evolve
After team coaching, teams typically:
Develop a shared language, trust, and accountability
Learn to leverage diversity constructively
Resolve conflicts more effectively
Deliver better results through increased collaboration and performance
